Cosmopolitan Middle East: Magazine Of The Year

COSMOPOLITAN MIDDLE EAST WINS MAGAZINE OF THE YEAR!

I wrote that in caps, because, yes... I am being all happy/shouty about that!

Cosmopolitan Middle East was awarded the prestigious Magazine Of The Year accolade at the global Cosmopolitan conference in Madrid last week.

The event, Cosmic 2012, marked the gathering of editors in chief and publishers of over 60 editions of the world’s largest magazine title.

Announced at the gala event on the final evening, Duncan Edwards, President and CEO of Hearst Magazines International, presented Cosmopolitan Middle East with the coveted award. Cosmopolitan Middle East’s editor in chief, Kerrie Simon-Lawrence [that stunning creature, pictured above, and with her talented team, second from top], was in Madrid to accept the award.

“Cosmopolitan Middle East marks its first birthday this month, so to achieve such a prestigious award at just 12 months old, and when we were up against much longer-established editions, is an incredible achievement,” Kerrie said [who regular readers of Josie's Juice will know I adore - she is one of my best buddies. So proud! And, she's an Aussie, people!].

As well as the Magazine Of The Year, Cosmopolitan Middle East received two gold awards for magazine design (the magazine's art director is another talented Aussie, Acacia Stichter].

Expect more fantastic things from this magazine title.

Cosmopolitan Middle East is published by ITP Consumer Publishing Group and was launched in April 2011.

Here are all the covers over the past year. Enjoy!
